As part of the Affordable Care Act, the state of Oregon has created its new health insurance marketplace… called Cover Oregon.
Cover Oregon is a website, where starting October 1st, 2013, you’ll be able to apply for and browse for health insurance plans under the new health care laws.
These new health insurance plans are required to have certain minimum required benefits.
Plus, when you purchase your health insurance through Cover Oregon after October 1st, 2013 you may be eligible for payment assistance from the government based on your household income.
Most Oregonians will qualify for some sort of payment assistance. Some people may have all of their health insurance costs covered by the government. Even a family of four with a household income of up to about $94,000 will qualify for help paying their monthly insurance payment.
You can use our payment assistance calculator here on this website to see what you may qualify for. Just head over here… it’ll only take you 30 seconds.
